Kuta is unbeatable for clothing and also sports the liveliest nightlife. Nusa Dua on the east coast of the Bukit peninsula, has white sand beaches and clear waters, a watersports enthuiasts dream.

This island's rich cultural heritage is visible everywhere - in over 20,000 temples and palaces, in many colourful festivals and ceremonies, in drama, music and dance. Then there are the water sports with something for everyone from the very active to the more sedate.

When to go
Blessed with a tropical climate that is divided into two seasons, the dry season runs from April to September and the wet season from October to March. During the rainy season it can be humid especially during January and Febuary and showers can occur everyday but don't usually last very long.
